LGBTQIA+ Affirming Therapy

A safe, affirming space where your identity is celebrated and your experiences are understood.

What LGBTQIA+ Affirming Therapy Looks Like

LGBTQIA+ affirming care is the floor, not the ceiling. Specifically trained, intersectionally aware, and grounded in the lived community context, the work does not require you to teach or translate. The presenting issue might be about identity, or it might be about anything else: career, family of origin, anxiety, grief, parenting, a relationship, a creative block. You will not have to filter. Care covers the full LGBTQIA+ spectrum: gay, lesbian, bisexual, queer, questioning, asexual, intersex, and more. Couples and family work for LGBTQIA+ systems is available alongside individual therapy.

Who This Is For

  • LGBTQIA+ adults seeking individual therapy for any reason.
  • LGBTQIA+ couples and partnered systems.
  • People navigating coming out at any age.
  • People processing experiences in unaffirming clinical or family settings.
  • Allies and family members who want to learn and not lean on their LGBTQIA+ loved ones for education.

What to Expect

  • No need to educate or translate; specific training is already in place.
  • Care that addresses identity when it is the topic and steps back when it is not.
  • Recognition of intersectional identity (race, neurology, class, faith, disability, more).
  • Support for community-specific concerns (chosen family, minority stress, internalized shame).
  • Preventive care for LGBTQIA+ relationships and family systems.
